Hampstead is one of my favourite places in London for family photography. Between the woodland paths, ponds, open spaces and quiet residential streets, it offers endless opportunities for beautiful and varied images that never feel forced or over-styled.

I have to admit Hampstead Heath is also one of my favourite locations for extended family photoshoots, plenty of space for large groups to wander and enjoy a fun afternoon.

There is something incredibly special about photographing families on Hampstead Heath.
Children can climb trees, splash through muddy paths, kick autumn leaves, play in the open fields or stop for a warm drink at one of the local cafés. Those moments of freedom and play naturally create the kinds of photographs families treasure most.
Some sessions begin at home — especially lovely for newborns and younger babies — before heading out onto the Heath for a walk and a change of atmosphere. Others take place entirely outdoors, exploring the ponds, playgrounds and hidden corners that make Hampstead feel so unique.
The beauty of photographing here is that nothing needs to feel rushed or overly structured. We spend a relaxed morning together, following the rhythm of your family and allowing real moments to unfold naturally.

My approach combines observation with gentle direction.
I’m not interested in stiff posing or manufactured perfection. I want your session to feel more like quality time together than a traditional photoshoot.
Occasionally I’ll guide you into beautiful light or suggest a simple activity, but for the most part I’m quietly observing. Watching how your children move through the world. Noticing the connections between siblings. Capturing the personalities that make your family uniquely yours.
Photographs allow us to revisit seasons of life that disappear far too quickly. They remind children what their childhood felt like. They remind parents they were there too — holding hands, laughing, comforting, loving.
