Despite a lot of unpredictable weather and cold mornings, each image will carry the story of an adventure full of joy and love. And if you have a toddler, it might be a story of runny noses, mushy kisses, scrapped knees, messy snacks and even more cuddles. Fundamentally, a great family vacation album is about connection. Will your little one remember the sights or how it felt being on an adventure together. I can promise you it’s the latter.

This is how sometimes motherhood feels to me, but that's where family photos come in and chase away those heavy clouds. Babies need freedom to explore and a quiet pace to take in new environments. That’s why I like to combine urban locations with a more relaxed setting - a local park or a hotel room. For this winter session, we knew the park option is out of question. The lovely January sunshine always comes with chilly winds so we decided to walk back to the AirBnb flat. An indoor setting allows parents to engage with their baby in a meaningful way - it’s definitely easier to play silly games when you’re warm and a hot cup of tea is brewing nearby.

The pandemic showed the importance of having a community, especially when you have young children.
